Everything But...

Midnight in Paris.

One Night Only.

A few weeks ago I DJ’d in Paris for the first time - ever and I have to say it had              to be one of the dopest nights of my life thus far. At a very young I developed          this unexplainable connection to music. So to have the opportunity to spin some            of my favorite tracks for all the partygoers was mind-blowing.

New father Jay-Z welcomes his daughter into the world with a new record entitled “Glory.” “The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real/ Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you,” rhymes an overjoyed Jay on the sentimental song, which marks Blue Ivy Carter’s first feature.

Over the soulful Neptunes-produced beat, the proud papa reveals that his “child of Destiny” was conceived in Paris the day before Beyoncé shot her 4 album packaging and shares for the first time that his wife suffered a miscarriage.

“Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/ We was afraid you’d disappear/ But nah baby you magic,” he raps.

But it’s baby Blue herself who steals the show with her precious cries at the end. A star is born.

” My heroes had the [heart] to lose their lives out on a limb and all I remember is thinking, I want to be like them….” That single line blows me away with every listen; it truly speaks volumes to my life.

It’s feels as if every-time I listen to this song I hear something new. If you ignore all the special effects and costumes that sometime come along with Gnarls Barkley you’ll find that his music and artistry are simply - amazing.

The Breakfast Club.

A few weeks ago, me and a few friends discovered [Claus].

A breakfast/brunch paradise hidden in the 1st arrondissement of Paris; that you [must] experience to truly appreciate. The menu, which is updated weekly, features everything from fresh baked scones to saumon fumé. [Claus] with it’s Swiss Chalet and Uptown feel offered the perfect setting for catching up and gossiping. I think it also helped that the restaurant offers a little “eye candy” called - the server.
